Sky fibre and dect phones

Hi all. Thinking about switching to Sky fibre but I have several dect phones using the current copper wire input. Does the new Sky Fibre router have a BT style socket so that I can plug in my dect base station? Anyone have experience of doing this? TIA

Yes, you will plug your dect phone ( base station), using the same cable into the back of the Sky router, instead of your current master socket.

I do the same, having moved to Sky Ultrafast + in the last month and it works fine, with clear calls.

Just a further question.... do you still need a landline to make calls?  Not sure whether VOIP uses landline of fibre connection.  TIA

@pablo56

VOIP is data (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and so is carried by whatever broadband is available: that could be ADSL/FTTC/G.fast on a copper circuit or FTTP on optical fibre.  The concept of a 'landline' is becoming obsolete, but terrestrial broadband does require a physical data bearer cable of some kind.
