Internet issues

Internet runs slow in one room. I had this problem with previous supplier. I think I need a WiFi booster. Do they actually work and how do I get one? I'm using Amazon firestick in the room, presume a SKy Puck would have tge same problem if Internet is intermittent?

@Shay65 a booster might work but ideally you may want to consider buying a whole home wifi mesh system. Basic boosters need to be installed in an area with a strong signal so no more than half way between where the hub is located and the room requiring the boost. To stream video you need both reasonable speed say up to 35Mb/s for UHD but also a signal free from interference.

Sky only supply boosters to customers who buy their Broadband Boost bundle who ask for one but they have a new improved system called Wifi Max which currently codts £7.50 a month which can have up to 3 exrenders at no extra cost if an engineer decides you need them after a visit. A basic home wife system costs roughly £100 for 3 extenders which in my home gives very good coverage for my 3 pucks and Glass TV but YMMV.
