My sons bought a Sky broadband package for their Uni flat. The engineer came today to switch it on but so far no router. We have a tracker number; the Royal Mail say they have tried to deliver twice (not true) and are now saying it will be delivered on 14/9 - last week. If we raise with Sky can they expedite delivery of a new router (preferably with someone who is not Royal Mail)?

I'd observe that an 18-month minimum contract Sky broadband contract is typically very unsuitable for student accomodation if it has to be vacated at the end of a summer term.
Other ISPs do twelve (and sometimes even nine) month contracts.

In that case the account holder (or someone who knows the account details and telephone password) will need to chase Sky up for Hub delivery: I doubt there's an alternative shipping method though.
