Constant intermittent outages

Starting on 6th December I've been seeing intermittent broadband outages. This has been my experience:

  • The center light in my Sky Hub goes dark
  • Periodically it will flash amber, then go dark again
  • I go to Sky's support page to see if there's an outage - it says everything is fine
  • I follow the steps to check my service and it says there's an issue
  • It asks me to check the cables are connected, then reset my hub
  • After that it instructs me to call
  • I call and wait in the queue
  • The agent tells me there's an outage in my area

I'm not happy about the outages, but I'd be less unhappy if the site would correctly identify it as an outage and not an issue on my end. Then I could skip resetting my hub and calling in. For the last three days I've lost connection between 4pm and 8pm, so it also appears to be getting worse.
