I got a message saying there was a problem and to go to sky help on demand. From the screen it should fail fail on broadband. I reset and now when I try to reconnect with was or WiFi password it can't locate a network. WiFi is working correctly. I didn't know there was an issue with the on demand section until in tried to download a box set.
I'm not sure what else to try.

Sounds good.
When you get home I’d recommend the following…
If you don't see the option to connect via WPS, password or PIN I'd suggest the on demand connector (pictured above) may be the issue.

Hi Mark
sky is my broadband provider I switched in the middle of January
no fault code came up, I was watching a box set that had more episodes to download and when I finished watching the last downloaded episode the message I got said there was a problem go to sky help.
I’m not sure of the name of the hub but think it’s the Q as we only got it mid January
I’m not very technical but it’s connected via WiFi and the same with the on demand little box
I did reset the box on the network screen and when I tried to reconnect using both WiFi password or WPS button the message I kept getting was network couldn’t be found. I had full WiFi and internet connect on the broadband hub.
Before resetting the box, the network screen showed Fail on the top two items which I think were broadband related.

When searching for a network, is the Sky box picking up any at all? e.g your neighbours network.

It’s not picking up any network at all.
There doesn’t seem to be any issue recording any other programmes even ones that I’ve series linked.
Its just when I go into the catch up part it doesn’t work.

You mentioned an On Demand box, does it look like the picture below?
What colour are the lights?
Is that connected to your Sky box using a USB connection or Ethernet cable?
Is there a reset button on the back?
Are the cables connected securely etc?

It is the same box as in the last post
The two lights to the front are on and are a white colour.
I will have to check the other things later tonight when I get home.
Thanks for your help so far, I will let you know this evening how I get on.

Hi Mark

I am on TalkTalk and have a problem that my IPad fails to connect to the planner. If I reset the connection on the Sky box, it works fine for a day or so, then it stops working again. It has always worked like this. I solved it a while ago because I have a Neet box for streaming music, which generates its own wireless network. If I connect the Sky box to this, it is always stable. However, I have recently upgraded to 38MB on TT, but the Neet box has a max of 10MB, so I have gone back to using the TT router. Any ideas what I can do to make this work properly? By the way, when it is not working, then I reset it, the IP address used remains the same, so that is not the issue.

And mine

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@PeterH1950 Try giving your sky box a static IP Address, you can usually do this on the router or pick an address outside the routers DHCP range

I have now managed to access my router and have set the Sky wireless box to have a static iP address and so far it seems to be working.
