WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
IT'S JUST THE CHASE WITH BRADLEY WALSH!!! Where's Ben Shepard, Roy walker, or Steven Mulhern!? It also needs renaming to Sky Challenge.

Not really, at present there is Crystal Maze followed by Through the keyhole so to say it is just The Chase is a but wide of the mark. The channel can only broadcast shows it has the rights to.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
Likely the Chase is the most watched show on the channel which is why it typically plays out in "prime time" hours. I remember several years ago it used to be reruns of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire rather than The Chase which would fill several hours a day of the schedule.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
Should be renamed Sky Quiz. Much better. Challenge sounds a bit 90's.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
Yea I get what you mean, Take it or leave it and It's Not What You Know were great shows along with many other challenge-made shows back when Flextech (Virgin Media Television from 2007 to 2011, now acquired by Sky) made many unique quiz shows and it's a shame that Sky aren't commissioning game or quiz shows and not even putting them as repeats on Sky Replay and then Sky Mix as if to test the waters for potential revivals on Sky Max (the new name for Sky One since 2021)
When Sky decides to finally close Challenge after the above, then I don't know what's going to happpen

Sky Replay is closing at the end of this month
I do wonder what the future of Sky Sci-Fi is as it hasn't aired anything new in a year with FROM moving to Sky Max and Revival airing on Sky Max

That's strange but why isn't Challenge getting the chop instead of Sky Replay as they should be keeping the channel for repeats of Sky Max shows but so should Sky Mix only mostly which airs stuff from Sky Nature. I think Sky Max should commission game/quiz show formats from producers such as IMG*, Stellify Media, Banijay, ITV Studios, All3 Media and other independent production companies and then air them on Sky Mix, not Challenge the following few days because many people say that The Chase is mostly what Challenge puts in the slots to cover up the abysmal gaps in the programming.
*TWI (now IMG) once produced the first 30 episodes of 1 series of Take It Or Leave It in the weeknight primetime slot in 2006. They also produced I'd Do Anything for BBC One in 2003, All*Star Cup for Sky One in 2005 before moving to ITV1 in 2006 (both series were produced by Ant & Dec's Gallowgate Productions and TWI) and they [IMG] produce Britain's Strongest Man for Channel 5 which had moved several times from the BBC to Sky in 2005, Sky to Five in 2006 where they had the rights to it until 2008 when it moved to Bravo (part of Virgin Media Television) for the 2009 and '10 events and then onto Challenge for the 2011-2013 events before being at Channel 5 for the 2014 events and onwards.

I honestly think Challenge is on its final legs due to ITV Quiz. I think when Sky and ITV's contract ends for The Chase, with the The Chase then being moved to ITV Quiz, Challenge will close.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
There are 2,550 regular episodes, 160 celebrity episodes of the chase so there are plenty to go around for both challenge and itv quiz to show
If sky and itv reach an amount satisfactory to both, I don't see why they would end an agreement beneficial to both.
The episodes are worth nothing gathering dust
Both companies will do what they feel is most profitable

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO CHALLENGE TV!?
I have a question regarding this. If Challenge were to disappear suddenly, what would happen to all the recordings I have from this channel of The Generation Game? Would they remain on my drive, or would they also disappear? I have Sky Q.

I had recordings on sky q from MTV Rocks, Eurosport and Fox before they closed. These recordings still worked after the channels closed.

@nolte Thanks, that's good to know. I have got quite a lot of episodes recorded, but only watch one a week. Didn't want them all to be taken away without any notice.

If you obtained the programme via on-demand, it would disappear, but if you recorded it, it would remain.
