Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

I've given up!

Might stick on PS5 and play a bit of the game...

What a shame Sky.  I managed to watch it in 4K HDR at 18.5Mbps and it looked absolutely better than episode 1 and 2 did on the Sky 4K HDR version.

It's seriously made me reconsider my UHD subscription especially now that I know Sky's quality is subpar to the original HBO version.

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

Was this via HBO on a VPN?

It was indeed HBO Max with a VPN (I pay £2 a month for one anyway).  I was a bit desperate to get my TLOU fix!

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

Very poor from Sky today with no UHD available to download. I tried before I went to work this morning but couldn't find it, then again Sky don't always make it easy to find UHD or even just HD versions of shows sometimes. Then I saw on various forums others with the same issue. Why can't Sky have a UHD channel (like the Sports one, not that I subscribe to SkySports anymore) so we can watch things live in UHD. There's barely any UHD content from them as it is and they charge extra (as well as for HD which is the standard nowadays fgs). I downloaded it in HD early evening expecting to get the UHD version, but we gave up waiting and watched that one. A lot of people are now having trouble downloading anything.

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

My HD downloaded fine when I gave up on the HDR ever showing up. Well and truly done us over sky after speaking to them throughout the day and repeatedly told it would be on today. Not impressed at all

The UHD version (non-HDR) has just shown up for me.

Better late than never I guess.

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

So, clearly Sky waited until both the live and +1 versions were shown for maximum advert exposure. Very very poor show, Sky; completely wrong and unforgivable.

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

The HDR version is now also available.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

As I predicted!

Like to know how they are going to explain this? Guessing they won't!

Will be interesting to see what happens with episode 4. Can't be bothered with all this again next week

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

It would be standard and better NOT late in the first place.  After all of a bill to pay is late they are sharp on the contact.

Re: The Last Of Us - 4K HDR?

Agreed. There's no reason why it shouldn't be.   Perhaps with all these comments Sky could either explain and better still apologise to its paying customers.
