Tennis streams

I am trying to watch womens tennis from Wuhan.  For the last few days I cannot get into any of the streams and can only watch on the main sky channels (408 and 404).  I can get in as far as picking a match to watch but then it just hangs with the circle and nothing happens.

I got the sports package we are on specifically to watch tennis so can anyone help me

Do you have a satellite dish (or connected to a communal dish) or is your TV service provided through the internet?

If that's the case then you have Sky Stream, not Sky Q.

Sky Stream is received via the Sky Stream puck, a small square box connected to your broadband and your TV. It relies entirely on you providing it with a fast and stable enough broadband connection in order to function. 

You should test the speed actually being received by the puck - to do this, run a network check from the get help menu on the Netflix app on the puck. Sky recommend a minimum of 25Mbps for successful streaming.

Not aware of any issues for this tournament so far with the Sky Sports + streams for the WTA Wuhan Tennis.

The current live Sky sports streams for the Sky Sports + streams are working fine.

Use either;

The interactive coloured button, top right on your remote 🔴🟢🟡🔵 and select the stream there or select 'court choice' bottom right on screen, when it appears.

Scroll to Sports> Tennis, select Court choice or the live WTA Wuhan rail with live and upcoming events.

Say Tennis into your voice remote and do as above.

It might also be worth doing a settings restart of your Sky Stream puck or Sky Glass Tv.

Hi Thanks for getting back to me.   yes i have tried the red button and going into sports listings.   I can get as far as the Wuhan tournament and list of live matches but when I click on an individual match it goes into it but when I hit the button for live feed it goes in and just buffers (spinning circle) and nothing else happens.   I am not very techie so wonder could you tell me how to do the reset that you mention on the end of your message.

To do a settings restart:
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete.

A settings restart does more than just a power restart, it clears a number of areas of the local cache of the device, that may have built up over time.

it is  suggested to do a settings restart about once a week or fortnight, keeping it fresh.

Different ways to get to the settings menu;
Hit the . . . button on your remote and select settings, use voice saying 'settings' or scroll down to the settings menu on the home menu.

If you do see what I mentioned, then you do not have Sky Stream or Sky Glass.

Do you have Sky Q, meaning do you having a satellite dish?

Sorry for the confusion - I am not very well up on all this!  My husband is the TV expert but he is away.   I didnt think we had a satelite dish  but we do have SkyQ (I just checked).   As far as I know if our internet goes down we have no Sky TV so I thought that meant it came through our internet rather than satelite. 

As it is SkyQ do you know what I should do to get the tennis stream back?

I will pass this thread over to the Sky Q forum area, where someone with Sky Q can take you through the restart for you on Sky Q and see if that helps.

Please can you look in:

Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version

And tell us which SKY Q box you have

If it is 32Cxxx then you have an older 1TB non-UHD Box
If it is 32B0xxx then you have a (V1) UHD but non HDR 2TB Box
If it is 32B1xxx then you have a (V2) UHD HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
If it is 32B2xxx then you have a (V3) UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box
