Stockport v Mansfield not available on Sky Sports+

The Stockport game is listed as available on Sky Sports+ but it isn't showing on the app or via the Red button

Hello @andybjohnson, thanks for your post about last night's Stockport County v Mansfield Town which you were wanting to watch on Sky Sports+. Unfortunately Stockport County (as the home team) didn't grant us the rights to show this game so we were unable to make this available on Sky Sports+.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.

Thanks, Jason-

I was disappointed to see this game was not on Sky Sports, having spent £35 with Now TV to watch it!

Was the non-granting of rights a last minute decision? By whom and why?  How much in advance did you know the game would not be screened?

Probably best to contact Viewer Relations:  viewerR@sky.uk

...but NowTV is a separate (Sky-owned) entity.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

It's certainly an odd scenario. You would have thought that the deal between Sky and the EFL wouldn't allow individual clubs to stop a game being broadcast.

Out of interest, @andybjohnson @Masroor1 @@ , was this game always scheduled to be played this midweek or was it originally a weekend fixture that got postponed?

https://www.skysports.com/watch/football-on-sky seems to not be 100% reliable

It is listing both Brighton and West Brom games as being on Sky Sports Footbsll at the same time.
