Skys tennis coverage is so frustrating!

I am so fed up with Skys tennis coverage.

We are in 2025 and finding and watching a tennis match  when it suits you should be so so easy.

We have been spoilt with Amazon Prime and Discovery +/Eurosports coverage and that is what us tennis fans expect as the norm now.

Sky has taken the tennis coverage back about 25 years, its basically back to the days of video recorders and time shifting. I wanted to watch Cam Norries match yesterday but wasnt going to be in so i set their Sky Sports tennis coverage to record thinking i could watch it later. But no, after wasting 15 minutes fast forwarding through their 12 hours plus broadcast i then find out that his match was going to be on Sky Sports + which of course i didnt record.

Why dont they at least have the matches in full on the tennis channel to watch again later when there is no live coverage. They have the  tennis channel on for 24 hours a day and they fill up the time overnight with old finals from previous years etc. At least have the british players matches in full to watch again!!!

Compare that to the Prime coverage where you could get home and within seconds you can find it and start watching it confident in the knowledge that you have got the match in full to watch with no risk of missing anything with a match over running a broadcast timeslot etc.

Its just awful and Sky should never be allowed anywhere near tennis broadcast rights ever again after this contract runs out.

A very unhappy tennis fan. 😠

You're presumably assuming someone else would be interested in acquiring the rights though: Amazon chose to walk away at the end of their ATP and WTA contracts rather than renewing.

Forgetting the app - the tennis was on both Sky Sports Tennis (407) and Sky Sports + (412).

They did say on Sky Sports Tennis during the Katie Bouler match that the Cameron Norrie game was on the Sky Sports + channel. (412).

The Sky Sports + linear channel is often different to other channels.

Agreed, not all full matches are there, Sky have mentioned that they do not have the rights for every match to be made  available for catch-up, mainly highlights of most matches with just selected ones as fill match offerings.

It generally is a showing of the full match British represented ones along with the semis and finals for all the recent tournaments that are made available on catch-up to watch.

Yesterdays Norris is in catch up on my Sky Stream, under Sports > Tennis

I agree with you all. I can not believe how rubbish their tennis coverage is- sound and picture quality as well s the whole issue of coverage. I am currently trying to watch the WTA final from Washington but despite it being played as I type and it being shown on the live schedule for Sky they are, yet again, re running an old final that has been shown a zillion times already. Anybody know why?

Couldn't  agree more, recorded Norris v Cazaux at Metz last night only to find it didn't even show the first set! 🤷‍♀️

I totally agree,my mum loves the tennis and cricket she doesn't watch football. So I sorted it out that she paid for the tennis and cricket, low and behold she turned the tennis on at 2pm to find ATM tennis is not on the tennis channel its on sky + channel we were told to cancel sky sports and just take the tennis and cricket channel. I am so cross my mum is 86 yrs old and she was so disappointed. He's now in the final tomorrow and she can't watch it!!! Come on SKY be fair if a tennis match is on put it on the tennis channel. My mum is so disheartened she just said cancel it all but of course she's in a contract now.
