Corporate accountancy is very strange, though: Comcast is apparently prepared to have Peacock continue to lose half a billion dollars a quarter, for example.
Interesting to see the speculation that they may be considering ditching their cable television channels in the USA (although finding a buyer might be something of a challenge)

Re: Sky cinema. possible changes
@Mister_Dalek @Why are you stating that this absolutely is not going to happen when the suggestions have come directly from sky? It's clearly an option, you are certainly not in a position to say it's not going to happen. You don't know, neither do I, but it is an option that they are definitely scoping customer opinion on, that's factual

My statement was in response to another post which stated that Sky should "give us all of movies on the Sky Store for free", not a free Sky Store rental as shown in your screen grab.
The option of giving all of movies on the Sky Store for free is categorically not going to happen. I work in the industry. Sky simply cannot afford to pay every studio on the planet for the rights to give their customers free access to every brand new movie released for sale and rental on every other platform. It's not going to happen. That's factual.

Re: Sky cinema. possible changes
One of the options was to give sky cinema customers a free weekly pay movie, or give sky cinema customers for £1 each time. If sky wanted to give first rights to customers to all sky cinema package of say £24.99, they could easily do this. You don't know and neither do I.

Which is completely different to the option I was responding to... "give us all of movies on the Sky Store for free"

Re: Sky cinema. possible changes
@Mister_Dalek No it isn't, it depends on the price point of sky cinema. Sky could feasibly bring out two subscription levels of sky cinema, the current one and a premium one which could include access to all sky store releases. Unless you work for sky - you don't know.

And neither do you. So I'm not sure why you're trying to attack me for responding to someone's comment.
Have a wonderful weekend.

- I have never stated that it will or I do. You did. You said it will never happen. Have a good weekend.

Re: Sky cinema. possible changes
Let's be nice to each other peeps, no need to get grumpy with each other when discussing supposition and speculation.
I haven't had the survey but have Sky Cinema. I don't watch films on Paramount+ as they appear to turn up in UHD HDR anyway on Sky, but I do watch shows such as Yellowstone and Tulsa King.
I have used 2 free cinema tickets since the perk has launched and to be honest, find visiting an actual cinema quite traumatic these days!
Keeping Sky Cinema as is with Paramount+ and a monthly Sky Store rental would be perfect for us, but something or nothing might happen and any variation in between, so no need to fall out over it.
