Sky Sports+

Is Sky Sports+ streamed through the satelite system or through Broadband?

For all the information on Sky's Web Site I cannot find anywhere how it is streamed.

Can Anyone help?

There is one linear channel (satellite) the rest are streamed, i.e. via broadband.

@shay63

Which TV platform do you subscribe to? You also need the full Sky Sports package.

Customers with Sky+ (with the full sports subscription) will receive the new Sky Sports+ Channel (412), but will not have access to the live streams as Sky+ is not compatible with the Sky Sports App.

See the article in the News section at the top of the page

Even though the SKY box doesn't support the new Sky Sports app that is showing the alternative games you can use the app on a mobile device such as iphone/ipad or Android mobile or tablet (but unfortunately not on a desktop).

The vast majority of Sports+ content arrives online (note Sky television never 'streams' over the dish) : it's another sign of the move away from satellite broadcasting.
