Screen share from iPhone to tv

I used to be a virgin media customer and recently switched to sky.

 I was able to screen mirror from my iPhone to my Samsung TV without any problems but since I moved to sky it wouldn't even give me an option to select my Tv under screen mirroring.

Any particular reason for this?

Yes, Sky only allow viewing on the phones own screen and disable external connections

Do you mean you were able to cast programmes from a Virgin Media app to your TV? Or just share your phone screen in general? If the latter, switching to Sky shouldn't affect that in any way as that is a feature provided by your phone/TV and not affected by any kind of Sky or Virgin box that may be connected,
