Buffering is horrendous on sky sports +
Buffering on Sky Sports+ usually points to an Internet speed or stability issue, especially if you're watching Sky Sports+ on channel 404 on Sky Glass/Steam or one of the interactive bonus streams. A couple of things you can try:
If you’re on Sky Broadband:
Restart both your Sky Hub and your Sky Q/Glass/Stream box to refresh the connection.
If you can, connect the box by Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi, it makes a big difference with live streams.
Check your broadband speed (Sky recommend ~25Mbps for HD/4K streams). If speeds are much lower than your package should provide, it's worth running diagnostics in the My Sky app or contacting Sky.
If your broadband is with another provider:
Run a speed test to see what you're actually getting. If the connection dips below ~10Mbps, buffering is likely.
Try a wired connection or sit the router closer to your TV if on Wi-Fi.
Reboot your router to clear any local congestion.
If other streaming channels/apps work fine, but Sky Sports+ doesn't, it may be worth contacting your ISP to check for routing/peering issues with Sky's streaming servers.
In both cases, it also helps to close other apps or devices that might be using bandwidth at the same time.
