Paramount Plus

When I click to open the app I get a black screen for about 5 minutes then the blue paramount plus screen appears but doesn't go any further to allow me to sign in. 
I've checked broadband speed & apparently all is good with it , however since we signed up for the super fast broadband it's been hit & miss whether we get a decent service or not
