Re: No vue in northern Ireland

It's a very good offer if you live near a Vue Cinema. Alas totally useless for me and many others. I do wonder how much thought goes into some of the promotions as although certainly generous not one customer in NI for example can use it.

Have to say Sky are certainly not on their own in this regard. Amex send me offers every week that are pretty much useless unless you live inside the M25.

Re: No vue in northern Ireland

I agree entirely. This is totally unfair for Sky subscribers in Northern Ireland! 🤬

Re: No vue in northern Ireland

I think the point is that every single Sky user can get free cinema tickets every month except people in northern Ireland because there are no Vue cinemas in Northern Ireland. Sky don't offer an alternative to people living in Northern Ireland which means we miss out on this offer which we're entitled to.

@CatrionaBrian

There are no cinemas owned by Vue in Northern Ireland so the offer cannot 'work'.

They are, you get free VUE cinema tickets. Its not Sky's fault or control over where VUE open up cinemas.

  But as has been pointed out in the various threads on this subject, why did Sky go ahead & advertise this offer on billboards in a country that doesn't have any Vue cinemas? Sky definitely has to take some of the blame here. This is a Sky offer remember, not a Vue offer.

Sometimes the advertising campaigns are the responsibility of specialist advertising companies, so its very possible Sky just utilised one of these companies and ask them to perform the campaign and they just rolled out the advertising UK wide.

Re: No vue in northern Ireland

It is Skys fault. They are the ones offering the offer!
