I've since been advised by Sky that in order to watch Netflix in Spain I need to log into Netflix with email and password and choose plan and pay fee even though I already pay through Sky. Apparently new rules that anyone who wants to watch it has to pay as it's out of their place of residence where account is held.
Am surprised nobody mentioned this as yet. Does this make sense?

This doesn't seem right looking at the Netflix page:
https://help.netflix.com/en/node/24853/ie
(Bear in mind it is Netflix which is not a SKY product as such so SKY advisers may not always know)

Thank you for that link however am bamboozled at this stage. I really didn't think it would be so complicated. Am going to try and speak with someone in Netflix if possible.

What level of Netflix do you have? Is it the basic 'free' package that comes with Ultimate TV?
Do you pay for HD and UHD as part of your Sky subscription? If you do then you should have Netflix Premium which allows viewing on up to 4 different screens simultaneously in up to 4K.
Try logging into your Netflix account on a web browser and click on Account under the top right hand menu. This should show you your Netflix plan details and whether it's being correctly billed through Sky.
There should be no issue at all with logging into Netflix when abroad. I've done it numerous times in the past and I've been paying for Netflix Premium via Sky for years.
