NOW TV app UHD HDR and framerate technical data/reference
I'm using the Now streaming app on both the Apple TV (latest gen) and Amazon Fire Cube (latest gen) and I've noticed it handles the signal differently - AppleTV forces DolbyVision on all content (regardless of the sync dynamic range and framerate option switched ON), while the Amazon Cube uses HLG and Atmos (where available) for Sky series/movie content and HDR10 60fps and Atmos on Sky Sports UHD live channels.
Both devices are set to sync both framerate and dynamic range, but nevertheless the results are as stated above.
My question is:
what is the correct, "as intended to be seen" UHD format and framerate for various SKy content - movies/series and sports?
I've done a bit of searching online and it seems that it's HLG for content and HDR10 (but 50fps, tested and it looks more natural than 60fps forced by both Apple TV and Amazon Fire Cube) for Sports UHD live? It seems contraintuitive since HLG is almost always used for UHD livestreams in sports, while HDR10 is more often found in creative content (movies, series).
Does someone have the exact technical data/standard, so I can set both devices correctly?
I'm an AV purist so I give a lot of attention to such details.
Sincerely
Alex

Re: NOW TV app UHD HDR and framerate technical data/reference
Probably the wrong forum, but for the Apple TV box, I find the best "video and audio" setting to be 4K SDR 50hz. Most apps that want HDR and / or a different framerate will switch automatically, as will catch-up Now Entertainment and Cinema UHD which correctly show HDR and where available Atmos at 50Hz [Apple doesn't do HLG].
The only exception for me is UHD sport on Now TV, and then I need to maually change to 4K HDR 50Hz. This gives HDR and Atmos.
If you have the "video and audio" setting as Dolby Vision the box will "upscale" to Dolby Vision for most content which isn't right for most apps, including Now TV.
All Sky / NowTV content [plus BBC, ITV, 4, 5, and the UK version of Discovery+] should be 50Hz. In general Netflix, Prime, Paramount, and Apple TV apps correctly switch to the right framerate [often for them 60Hz or 24Hz] on the Apple TV box.
