Sky box- message on screen - Waiting for TV schedule : this doesn't change so can't choose any channel to watch?

@No-TV  You posted this on th Sky Go Board, Sky Go is a Mobile/PC app however your post states a Sky Box.

 

Which Box?   Sky+HD, Sky Q or Sky Stream?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

As mentioned above, let us know which Sky service you have, for further help.

 

But, you could try restarting your Sky TV box to see if that cures it.
