This is a post for the closure of BBC SD (standard definition) channels on 8 January 2024 and some STV/ITV SD channels on 9 January 2024, as I suspect there's going to be a lot of confused customers.
On SD-only devices only, the channel numbers below will be for the SD version.
HD satellite receiver customers will see the majority of these in the 800s range and do not need to do anything to continue to watch BBC channels and radio stations on Sky and will see their local BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV1 HD, UTV HD or STV HD channels on 101, 102 and 103 (UK) and 141, 142 (Ireland).
The following BBC SD channels will be closing permanently on satellite on 8 Janaury 2024:
ITV and STV are closing the following on 9 January 2024:
If you see any of these standard definition channels on the channels above, you will need to upgrade to a HD-capable satellite receiver to watch or listen to BBC services, to see the correct regional ITV1/STV channel on 103 (UK) and watch ITV3 and ITV4.
You can do this online or via a phone call, further details are available at https://www.sky.com/help/articles/bbcupgrade.

I used to access STV West via manual tuning on my Sky Q box because its regional news at 6 was more appropriate for me here in the Western Isles. Is STV west HD available via manual tuning and if so what are the numbers?

STV HD (Central West - Glasgow) is the only one that is free-to-air (🆓). The other
regions are free-to-view (🔒) meaning that a Sky Viewing card is required. These are also region locked to the UK, so that viewers in Ireland cannot view them.
STV HD (Central West - Glasgow) 🆓 :
STV HD (Central East - Edinburgh) 🔒 :
STV HD (North - Dundee/Tayside) 🔒 :
STV HD (North - Aberdeen) 🔒:
Hope this helps.

I would suggest searching for the ITV1 HD you want at around 6pm on a weekday. This is because the local news is on then and it will be easier to distinguish between them. The only exceptions would be ITV1 Wales HD and UTV HD as these have their respective name on their label.
ITV1/UTV are avilable at the following frequencies.
Grananda, Tyne Tees, Wales, Westcountry (East), Westcountry (West):
Anglia East, Border England, Yorkshire East, Border England, Northern Ireland (UTV):
Yorkshire West, Meridian Thames Valley, Meridian South, Anglia West, Central East:
Central West:
Meridian East:
London:
Border England:

@ZyloKai Thanks very much for that info...that's exactly why I wanted them....to watch the Central news occasionally. Much appreciated.

Manual tuning is available on Sky Q and other satellite receiver. Manual tuning is not available on Sky Glass/Stream.
I am assuming you have a Sky Q receiver.
To view a channel in manual tuning, repeat steps 1-4 and then select the channel.

ITV3, ITV4 and ITVBe are free-to-air and are available in HD only. You will need a HD satellite receiver, such as Sky+HD or Sky Q to receive these. ITV2 is also available in HD:
ITV2 HD:
ITV3 HD:
ITV4 HD, ITVBe HD:

Channels are coming up when I search the new frequency but nothing there. Has Sky managed to block these somehow. I've tuned channels in before so something isn't right. ITV UTV ITV4 ITV3. Plus 1 work fine thoy

So I had to delete the old channels and then add the new HD channels before they saved. Still no preview when moving around the channels before storing but all working now. Thanks for the new frequencies
