I can't view BBC channels/My ITV/STV region is wrong.
This is a post for the closure of BBC SD (standard definition) channels on 8 January 2024 and some STV/ITV SD channels on 9 January 2024, as I suspect there's going to be a lot of confused customers.
On SD-only devices only, the channel numbers below will be for the SD version.
HD satellite receiver customers will see the majority of these in the 800s range and do not need to do anything to continue to watch BBC channels and radio stations on Sky and will see their local BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV1 HD, UTV HD or STV HD channels on 101, 102 and 103 (UK) and 141, 142 (Ireland).
The following BBC SD channels will be closing permanently on satellite on 8 Janaury 2024:
- BBC One SD -
- 101 (UK), 141 (Ireland)
- BBC Two SD -
- 102 (UK), 142 (Ireland)
- BBC Three SD -
- 115 (England, Northern Ireland), 117 (Wales), 121 (Scotland), 169 (Ireland)
- BBC Four SD
- 116 (UK), 143 (Ireland)
- BBC Alba SD -
- 117 (Scotland), 169 (England, Wales, Northern Ireland)
- BBC Scotland SD
- 115 (Scotland), 187 (England, Wales, Northern Ireland)
- BBC News SD -
- 503 (UK)
- BBC Parliament SD -
- 504 (UK)
- BBC Red Button 1 SD -
- 970 (UK)
- CBBC SD -
- 607 (UK/Ireland)
- CBeebies SD -
- 608 (UK/Ireland)
- All BBC Radio channels on SD-only devices. (UK)
ITV and STV are closing the following on 9 January 2024:
- ITV1 Border Scotland SD closing, replaced by ITV1 Granada SD
- 103 (Border Scotland)
- ITV1 Channel TV SD closing, replaced by ITV1 Meridian East SD -
- 103 (Channel Isles)
- UTV SD closing, replaced by ITV1 Granada SD -
- 103 (Northern Ireland)
- STV West (Glasgow) SD closing, replaced by STV East (Edinburgh) SD -
- 103 (West Scotland - Glasgow)
- STV North (Dundee) SD closing, replaced by STV North (Aberdeen) SD -
- 103 (North Scotland - Dundee)
- ITV3 SD closing -
- 119 (UK)
- ITV4 SD closing -
- 120 (UK)
- ITVBe SD closing -
- 131 (England, Wales, Northern Ireland), 132 (Scotland)
If you see any of these standard definition channels on the channels above, you will need to upgrade to a HD-capable satellite receiver to watch or listen to BBC services, to see the correct regional ITV1/STV channel on 103 (UK) and watch ITV3 and ITV4.
You can do this online or via a phone call, further details are available at https://www.sky.com/help/articles/bbcupgrade.

Re: I can't view BBC channels/My ITV/STV region is wrong.
I used to access STV West via manual tuning on my Sky Q box because its regional news at 6 was more appropriate for me here in the Western Isles. Is STV west HD available via manual tuning and if so what are the numbers?

STV HD (Central West - Glasgow) is the only one that is free-to-air (🆓). The other
regions are free-to-view (🔒) meaning that a Sky Viewing card is required. These are also region locked to the UK, so that viewers in Ireland cannot view them.
STV HD (Central West - Glasgow) 🆓 :
- Frequency: 11.068
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
- Service ID: 20800
STV HD (Central East - Edinburgh) 🔒 :
- Frequency: 12.110
- Polarisation: H
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
- Service ID: 5170
STV HD (North - Dundee/Tayside) 🔒 :
- Frequency: 12.090
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
- Service ID: 6167
STV HD (North - Aberdeen) 🔒:
- Frequency: 12.285
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
- Service ID: 5168
Hope this helps.

I would suggest searching for the ITV1 HD you want at around 6pm on a weekday. This is because the local news is on then and it will be easier to distinguish between them. The only exceptions would be ITV1 Wales HD and UTV HD as these have their respective name on their label.
ITV1/UTV are avilable at the following frequencies.
Grananda, Tyne Tees, Wales, Westcountry (East), Westcountry (West):
- Frequency: 11.052
- Polarisation: H
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
Anglia East, Border England, Yorkshire East, Border England, Northern Ireland (UTV):
- Frequency: 11.068
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
Yorkshire West, Meridian Thames Valley, Meridian South, Anglia West, Central East:
- Frequency: 11.097
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
Central West:
- Frequency: 12.168
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
Meridian East:
- Frequency: 12.227
- Polarisation: H
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
London:
- Frequency: 12.363
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3
Border England:
- Frequency: 12.363
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 27.5
- FEC: 2/3

Manual tuning is available on Sky Q and other satellite receiver. Manual tuning is not available on Sky Glass/Stream.
I am assuming you have a Sky Q receiver.
- Press the HOME button (It's the button under the DOWN ARROW in between the EXIT (square with left arrow and the submenu button (three dots))
- Scroll down to Settings
- Press OK/RIGHT ARROW
(The OK/SELECT button is the green circle button with the dot in the centre of the arrows) - Scroll down to Manual Tuning
- If there are channels already there, scroll down to the button
- Press OK on "Add a channel"
- Change details for the ITV1/STV/UTV region you want (as per my previous replies above)
(Make sure you use the Left arrow to go back as the Exit button will close the menu) - Scroll down to "Find Channels)
- Press OK to begin the search
(A list of channels should appear) - Press OK on the channels you want (This will add a checkmark beside them)
- Scroll down to "Save channels"
- Press OK.
To view a channel in manual tuning, repeat steps 1-4 and then select the channel.

ITV3, ITV4 and ITVBe are free-to-air and are available in HD only. You will need a HD satellite receiver, such as Sky+HD or Sky Q to receive these. ITV2 is also available in HD:
ITV2 HD:
- Frequency: 11.052
- Polarisation: H
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
ITV3 HD:
- Frequency: 11.097
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4
ITV4 HD, ITVBe HD:
- Frequency: 11.068
- Polarisation: V
- Mode: DVB-S2 8PSK
- Symbol Rate: 23.0
- FEC: 3/4

Channels are coming up when I search the new frequency but nothing there. Has Sky managed to block these somehow. I've tuned channels in before so something isn't right. ITV UTV ITV4 ITV3. Plus 1 work fine thoy

So I had to delete the old channels and then add the new HD channels before they saved. Still no preview when moving around the channels before storing but all working now. Thanks for the new frequencies
