Free Netflix offer?

So I get an email telling me as a Diamond customer I can have Netflix free for 6 months.

"Your first 6 months are on us, then it's £5.50 extra a month." Find out more in the MySky app
I've spent the last 15 minutes searching the app for this offer, swiping up/down/right/left……… it's nowhere to be seen.

Why do Sky deliberately play with people's heads?

Re: Free Netflix offer?

I did Mark. But I noticed something on another offer that listed needing Sky Q, Sky Stream etc, so I'm wondering if Signature, which we have, is not included in the offer. Why send me an email then? 😡

@StevieD54 I can only guess that Sky's marketing systems aren't smart enough to know what packages an existing Sky tv customer does or doesn't currently have.....

It's having Sky+ HD which prevents Netflix being available, because that antique hardware cannot host apps.  On Sky Q the 'offer' is an upgrade from Signature to Ultimate TV.

True but that doesn't explain why the marketing department are too lazy/unable to filter out customers to whom the offer isn't applicable, given all the technology and granularity available.

I was a Sky+HD customer from 2014 until January this year, and I've had hundreds and hundreds of over-familiar marketing emails all telling me to "say X" into my remote control to search for whatever programme they were promoting that week. They know full well that Sky+HD does not have voice control. 🙄

@mr.tickle

Sky+ is now so old there's a generation of Sky employees who never knew it existed....

That should be covered in basic training. And the emails should be checked by a senior person before being sent out.

Nothing would ever get sent out if everything had to be approved by senior people.

Its not just the marketing emails that are seemingly blindly sent out to customers, the same thing applies to deals visible on the website, whereby it will show you deals that you aren't even eligible for. I get it doing this if you aren't logged in to the website, but it really shouldn't do that if you are logged in to the website.
