I went absolutely bat**bleep** when I read the email. So when I got home from work I called sky and told them I'm not paying for darts and got F1 turned off until I call them and tell them to turn it back on. It took a bit of polite arguing but I got there. I pay for the F1, not any other boring (in my opinion) sports

Sorry but I never read that post or the linked article. My first post in this thread was originally a separate thread that was moved to this one by somebody else.
Is there a cooling-off period for cancelling services or will I have to sign back up for the full sports package at full whack now?

Sorry I don't understand what I'm doing wrong here. I tapped on the reply button at the bottom of your post but it didn't quote your reply. How do I do this?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBy cancelling for a month you're denying yourself the ability to watch the 100's of hours of available On Demand F1 content that, presumably, is all that would have been shown on the channel anyway given that there is no new content.
Is it really worth it?

Crap like Darts??? Do you realise Dart's is the second most watched sport across the Sky sports channels, watched by literally millions,
only Football has more viewers, honestly the F1 snobbery is laughable.

As the title says and can someone tell me how do I make an official complaint as they are not providing what I am paying for and of course make it impossible to complain by withholding any means of reporting this matter.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere isn't any F1 over Christmas so the channel has had a temporary rebrand. It will return to F1 on January 6th.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out morewhile the linear station is taking a break, there is a lot of content on demand in the F1 section of the sports part of the Sky Q.
looking at it last week, they have various content from each race in "The Story of 2024"

As the season has ended there is no F1 to show at the moment, but you can still access repeats of previous races via On Demand. Sky would argue the content you're paying for is still available, just temporarily not on a linear channel.

I have checked and I have definitely not had any email telling me that the only Sports channel I have was being converted to cover darts for a month ?!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreNeither did I because Sky didn't send one as far as I'm aware. It was mentioned in the What's On board for channel changes in December
and in the news article here
Sky are under no obligation to send emails to all customers for something that's in effect for approximately two weeks.

Not sure if the "F1 snobbery" remark is aimed at me or not but SkysportsF1 chanel is the only sports channel I have and I pay £20 a month for it and at this point I'm 4 months into my 24mth contract. I don't care if I can get what is normally there from some other place! I pay £20 a month to go to Chanel 406 and find all I need so when I find out how to do it I will be asking Sky to at least refund my £20 for the month my F1 chanel was not available to me.
Imagine the outcry if all football chanels were converted to F1 for a month. Yes I'm annoyed.
