Unable to receive Greatest hits radio channel 0151

Have been listening to Greatest Hits Radio through sky q box for a while now. When to put it on the channel 0151 this morning, no radio station? Says it is unavailable. Has anyone else having this problem and have they resolved it.

@Flamingo+10 I've added your post to an existing thread on the same subject. As you can see Greatest Hits Radio has closed.

Yes: everyone who was listening to Bauer Media Group radio stations on Sky, Freesat and Virgin television hardware.

and have they resolved it.

Through FM, DAB or Freeview where available, or online/in-app/on smart device via any internet connection.

Bauer have removed 10 radio stations from sky,virgin and freesat.these will disappear by the 13th December, maybe they want you to pay £4 a month to watch with no adverts

I'm confused. These are radio stations.... They have no visual content whatsoever. Adverts have always been present on radio channels..

Planet rock as grown since lockdown getting more and more people involved, can now pay £4 a month to get more channels with less advertising and more music.Doesnt make much sense to stop channels on sky if many people are listening,this is only thing that makes sense to get more money

@Mark1047

Listening figures may well have increased but the link suggests only 3.8% of those listeners are doing it on Sky TV platforms.

Re: Closure of radio channels 13/12/23

Shame really Bauer media have pulled off Sky and virgin media.......

That means your forced to there individual radio station Ad ridden apps if you want to listen to them........

That means that I'll be using Sky less then......

@hitbox47 unfortunately the ads pay the bills and what independent broadcasters do is completly out of Sky's hands. Satellite radio is something that was never big and is comparatively expensive while streaming is cheap so the switch is inevitable. Satellite TV is expected to go the same way at some point.

Fewer than 3 in 100 were using the platforms which have now been closed though: at that kind of rate it's quite possible the cost of satellite data transit was causing the stations to lose money on every listener they reached through a dish.
