Cant watch Europa League Final

I registered with Discovery+ to be able to watch the free stream of the European finals using their app. It works fine on my iPad and phone, but logged into the app on SkyQ and found the Europa league final (which has a "live" and "free" tag above watch now) to be promted to subscribe to TNT spirts to watch it. 
Am I doing something wrong or does this just not work on the SkyQ app?

The discovery+ app on Sky won't let me watch the free Uefa cup final without signing up to TNT sports, even though the app is saying it's free to watch. Note, I am not trying to watch the premium version. Can anyone help?

I suspect that you are trying to watch Discovery plus premium.

The Basic Discovery plus on Sky does not include premium unless you subscribe and pay Sky for TNT Sports on Q.

ie

But TNT have advertised that the European finals are free to stream. I can watch it fine on my iPad, it just won't work on the SkyQ box.

Yeah its not working on sky, even if you go into football and click on the free one and not the TNT one it still tell you to upgrade.

The final is playing out 'Live free'  on my Sky Stream via the Discovery+ app.

I do not sub to TNT at all.

It is playing a free stream, hence showing the 'Livefree' correctly.

I am also able to watch the free live stream 

I originally tried going through the icon on the Sky homepage which gave me an error message 

I then went through the discovery + app in the apps section, as I have not used discovery+ for a while I was asked to go to their website and re-activate with the 6 digit code, which I did.

I was then able to go into discovery + and play the free stream

Hi guys is there any way to watch the europa league final on sky glass? It's free on discovery+ however every time I click to watch on there it is directing me to sign up for TNT sports!

I am having the same problem. Trying to watch the Europa League final. Discovery+ offering it up as free content. I can log in online and watch but I can't watch it through my SkyQ. I've been into MySky to activate through my Sky account but still no dice. It still wants me to pay £28 for TNT Sports. Misleading rip-off, typical of Sky just doing all it can to force you to part with your money. I get told to log into my Sky account and link my Sky account that way - which I do and it simply says that they're very sorry but unable to honour my request. No explanation, no nothing.  Utterly hopeless or deliberately misleading and a total con?

TNT have stated that the European finals are free to watch via the discovery+ app. I still cannot watch! It is working on my mobile app just not on the sky app.

It says on TV screen the match tonight is free on Discovery+ then when I click to watch for free I'm getting told to subscribe to TNT sports, if I had TNT sports I wouldn't be wanting to watch it for FREE on Discovery+

This is a total com by Sky. They just want people to give up and pay the TNT subscription.. 

I have registered, and j can watch on my phone. But trying to go through the sky Discovery plus app on  my TV just prompts me to pay for a TNT subscription.

Shame on you sky - false advertising or dodgy un user friendly set up. Which is it?
