Black & White

How come SKY has a feature showing 'black' actors & not one for 'white' actors?

Bit prejudice isn't it?

Re: Black & White

It's advertised on sky all the time and it's called "black actors", then it shows clips of films featuring black actors. Why? There's no clips featuring "white actors".

I'm fairly sure white actors get their fair share of clips on various programmes.

If this is that 10 segment for "best black British actors", lots of the clips in this segment have white actors in it.

One of the films selected was the movie Skyfall

Re: Black & White

I realise that but why have a ten segment for black actors at all?

Just plug the films, why mention black actors at all?

@Callawave

How hard is it to find films with white actors when for most of the history of the movie industry the vast majority of featured actors have been white?

Generally speaking it's always been OK to provide people with the means to locate minority content, because by definition the majority tends to take care of itself in terms of visibility and cultural/economic prominence.

A list of films made over the past 120 years with a white (male) leading actor isn't exactly going to be a short one: identifying the exceptions is rather harder.
