I have seen the same problem with other users, when my bank calls for me to verify that I have logged into to my banks saving account I am requested to press the hash key. When I do that I hear the bleep on the phone but the bank does no recogise this. I thought maybe the phone was faulty so bought another new one, it gave the same problem. I contacted Sky who got the line checked out and all is OK, so why does the Hash button not work. They stated that OutReach stated the phone should be set onto "tone" and not "pulse and tone" so the hash key can be heard. I contacted Panasonic ( the phone supplier) who seem to have no idea what I was on about and aked me to either buy a new connector or plug it straight into the master socket, still no joy.
