How many rings before the voiceanswer service starts I have a new phone and no messages are recorded on that as the voicemail service starts before my new home phone can will start answering for messages

I don't know the number, but it might be best anyway just to turn off Sky's Voicemail service to allow your phone's built in service to take the call. Call 150 to ask for it to be turned off.
