UUnhappy customer

My phone line is not working since installation of fibre optic broadband! I have tried to get help with the problem but it has been a traumatic experience so far. I really heavily on my land line for hospital and family communication.

Eventhough, I have spoken to technical support they have been very unhelpful !

My issue has been escalated (whatever that means)! All I require is someone to phone me and let me know exactly what is happening?

Therefore would someone who knows when my phone line is going to be repaired or replaced .have the good manners to inform me .

Waiting, for a quick response to this matter.

@LH36

We don't know when it'll be repaired. We are customers here on a customer ➡️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other Sky customers. I’m afraid you aren’t communicating with Sky by posting on here.

Can you confirm the phone is plugged into the back of the hub?

@LH36 from previous posts here, what normally happens in such circumstances is that the issue is escalated to Sky's Network team. I imagine that's what will have happened in your case too.

They will be liaising with Openreach to get it fixed. It's impossible to say with any certainty how long it will take, but previous posts suggest around 2 weeks. Sky will have nothing to tell you in the meantime. The likelihood is that you'll notice that your phone is working before Sky have received an update to that effect from Openreach.
