Too expensive and poor phone connection

I am a Sky Diamond VIP customer For broadband we pay £42.25/mth for 6.5Mb/s Others offer over 100Mb/s for £28.99/mth. Also, a phone call on our landline interrupts the computer .We suggest the cost is too high and the phone line is poor.

@Wallis2

You are seeing offers for new customers to those other providers.

New customers to a provider are offered good discounts as an incentive to join. Most companies do this now. You probably took advantage of such a new customer deal when you first joined Sky.

If you can't negotiate an acceptable price for renewing then perhaps consider a move to an alternative provider, but when that deal nears its end you'll be in the same position with them, and will be able to rejoin Sky if you wish and take up any new customer deals available at that time.

Comcast do appear to prioritise getting new customers over retaining long standing ones. As other providers do this too it seems to be a common theme.

Call Sky on 150 (from your landline).

Re: Too expensive and poor phone connection

You are quite correct, but once I had switched to another provider at 1gb free for 12 months then £26pm, Sky miraculously came up with deals 50% lower than after more than 21 years with them. I called 3times to try and stay with them but couldn't do lower than £41pm. I just don't get why they are happy to lose loyal customers and then make the offers you ask for after you've left!
