Sky talk

I am a former BT user and have swapped to Sky.  May be a daft question, but do I need to use my own telephone handset?  BT provided one as part of the package but not had anything from SKY and the BT phone isn't working now

Sky don't provide handsets, so you'll need your own. If your BT handset was specifically for their Digital Voice service it won't work with Sky, I'm afraid.

Thank you.  I thought that would be the case.  I've only just thrown a hand set away.  🤣

Only BT does that, because only British Telecom /  Post Office Telecommunications  was a 'phone company' long before ISPs were a thing.
