Sky Talk & Broadband connection mechanism is obsolete
Hi,
Is there a way to connect a telephone set or make it work "without" connecting it to the router ? I feel this way of connecting it to the router is so obsolete that in 2023 keeping in view all configuration/ installation of hardware done by open reach is in some tiny closet/ cloak room near the entrance without realizing it can be difficult for family to access telephone sets.
Something wifi which we can keep anywhere we want would be nice.
Please let me know if there is an alternative way that I am not aware.
Thanks
Dr Shaz

@dejavu94 You could use Dect phones which can be placed anywhere, the main base unit would need to be plugged into the hub.
Unfortunatley the way phine is delivered via voip if replacing the older way this is a Openreach upgrade and can't be reversed.

There are even some DECT setups (typically business systems) which have a standalone receiver/transmitter that could go at the Hub with no handset there.
