Hi
I have sky talk with broadband. I've just bought new BT Premium phones and would like to use text messaging feature. Does sky support this?
Thank you.

I believe you'll have to call Sky to confirm you can have it added. Just dial 150 from your landline.

Is this that I've highlighted what you're referring to?

Re: Sky Talk - Text Messages with BT Phone
Hi there
im not sure how to reply to your message with screenshot but yes, this is what I'm after. Do I need to call and have it added to my package or can I enable it online?
Thank you for you help.

Re: Sky Talk - Text Messages with BT Phone
I've just tried to add text messaging, and the (very helpful) service desk person said that it didn't exist as an option. He said he'd been with Sky for 7-8 years and has never seen this option being available. I mentioned the screenshot that someone posted to this thread, and the options on it did not seem to match the options that the service desk guy said could be added.
Has anyone succeeded in getting text messaging added to a Sky landline?

That screenshot was from the tariff from 2023. I've just looked at the most recent tariff (April 2025) and it's still showing

Re: Sky Talk - Text Messages with BT Phone
Curiously I tried texting a message to the BT Premium Phone on my landline, and the message came through on my answering machine (though as a voicemail read by an automated voice, not a text). So it seems like the facility to receive text messages may be inbuilt into the Sky Talk account on broadband? Anyway, it did work for me.
