Sky Max router telephone connection
There are three ports on the back of my Sky Max router - one unlabelled, one is standard UK phone socket and one is labelled Italia/ROI. My landline telephone plug fits the Italia/ROI socket, and I get a dialling tone when plugged in. But when I try to dial out no connection is made.
do I need a converter from the plug on my phone to make it a standard UK plug, or should the Italia/ROI socket work?

@NickShepherd999 previous posts suggest the ROI/Italia and UK sockets are wired the same - it's just the connectors that are different, so I dont think you'll need a converter.
When was your Sky service activated? It can take a day or so for the phone service activation to complete, particularly with the Max Hub.

Re: Sky Max router telephone connection
Thanks. We have had the service some weeks now - I am just getting round to plugging in the phone as not used much.
So I do find it a bit odd - especially as I get a dialling tone.

Re: Sky Max router telephone connection
@NickShepherd999 when it's convenient try switching off your Hub (and the ONT if you have full fibre) at the plug for an hour. If it's still the same afterwards, it's probably best reported to Sky.
We can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish.
