I had sky full fibre installed late December and I'm very happy with it apart from one thing. With them installing the fibre at the back of the property that's where the router is and the main phone is plugged into the router and works fine however my husband is both hard of hearing and disabled so he either doesn't hear it or can't get to it before it rings off.Hes unable to use the call back feature as he has dementia..I have a second unit which was previously plugged into a phone socket now disconnected. The phones I have are DECT but the second one has no dialling tone .I know I'm doing something wrong but not sure what .When I plug the base unit next to the main unit and place the handset on the base it said syncing data then check line chord..What am I doing wrong

@tangobunny it looks from your image as though you have two base units, each with their own handset. Perhaps you bought them at different times.
That's not how a DECT phone is intended to work. You should have a single base station which plugs into your broadband Hub. Both handsets connect cordlessly to that one base station.
The second handset sits on a smaller charging unit, which doesn't have a connection to the phone line. You can see the charging unit in BT's description here: https://www.bt.com/help/user-guides/phones/landline-phones/cordless-phones-with-answer-machine/bt460...
You might be able to fix this turning off the second base station and then factory resetting the second handset. When the handset restarts, it should then connect to the other base station. Hopefully you can then turn the second base station back on and use it just to charge the second handset.

Re: Second phone
@tangobunny the image can't be shown here, I'm afraid, because it includes your phone number.
The base station needs to be plugged into your broadband Hub (not the ONT). There's a standard phone socket on the back.
The handsets connect cordlessly to the base station to make and receive calls. They don't need to be connected to a telephone wall socket.
The base station and the separate charging unit for the second handset need to be plugged into a mains supply.
Hope that helps?

Re: Second phone
@tangobunny it's a bit 'finger in the air' to me as well! I've not used this phone.
Yes, you should probably reset the second base unit as well, but once you've done it, switch it back off at the plug for the time being.
It looks as though you have to manually 'register' the second handset with the main base station. Page 78 of the user manual tells you how to do it. That should tell the handset that it works with the main base unit, not the second one. If you don't have a copy of the user manual, you can download the 'Simple Set up Guide' from the link in my previous post.
Once you've successfully 'registered' it, the 'check line' message should disappear and you should hear a dial tone. Hopefully when you turn on the second base unit to use as a charger it won't mess up the settings again.....
