@LouiseM71 has the phone ever worked? A lot of newer conections the voice line is delivered via the Sky Hub not vis the older phone sockets so check your phone is plugged in correctly if it is you need to report tgecfault to `sky.

Yep the landline handset is not that old tbh and is in perfect working order. I've tried unplugging the phone line as per the online help section. Can't get through to SKY as they close at 9pm. I'll see what it's like tomorrow and call up.

Just called SKY and there is an external fault on my landline. Not sure for how long either. Hopefully rectified in a couple of days 🤞

This link outlines auto compensation for when there is a total loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full working days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it, It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your account.
