@Derec regretfully I have to say, I don't think you've received the correct advice. A VOIP phone won't work with Sky's landline service. If you'd like to, feel free to post the make and model of the phone you've ordered and the one you've already got, so that we can take a look.

You might want to check that you can get your money back if the one you've ordered doesn't work.

Re: Problems with Sky talk

Just ordered from Argos Vec CS2001 cordless telephone. Our old one is a binatone cordless which we've had for quite a few years. It worked when we received an adapter from EE but Sky don't have adapters

@Derec The VTech seems to be a standard DECT phone which should work fine with Sky's landline service. The Argos Q&A indicates that the base station has a standard BT plug to connect to your Sky Hub, which is what's needed, so hopefully it will be all ok.

Re: Problems with Sky talk

Just to keep you up to date with the landline saga......just found out that BT/EE had kept our number when we moved to Sky & given us a new one without our consent or knowledge . Phone now works, even our old one. Will try to get our old number back but not holding my breath.Thought I'd let you know in case the same thing happens to others.
