No phone line
A few days ago we switched from Now to Sky broadband and since then our phone has not worked. The Voice light on the router is green and I have plugged the phone directly into the router but still no joy. We use Panasonic handsets which simply display a "Check phone line" message. Callers get a ringing tone when they call but we dot get any sound from the handset,
I phoned Sky who say it must be a wiring issue in the house and they are sending replacement connections. However it worked with Now using the same cabling so I'm not sure that's the problem. Anyone able to suggest other fixes to try?
Thanks.

Re: No phone line
Try restarting your broadband Hub by switching it off at the plug for a few minutes. If you have full fibre broadband switch off the ONT as well.

Re: No phone line
Thanks Mark39. I switched both off for 20 minutes but still got the same message on the handset when I restarted it. The handset is a Panasonic KX-TGC220E and some further digging on the internet suggests it doesn't work with fibre (although no-one can pinpoint why).

Re: No phone line
@Gill609 if the Panasonic is reasonably recent it should be fine. Can I suggest buying a cheap corded handset from Argos or the like (or borrowing one) to check that the landline service is ok?
