New sky customer no phone line
I'm a new Sky customer and swapped my elderly parents who are 94 and 84 to sky. Services should have started last week on Thursday. No dial tone on the house phone and if I call the number it says this number is not accepting incoming calls!! I have called Sky customer services but I'm getting nowhere. Both my parents have hearing aids and although they have a mobile phone they struggle to hear callers. I asked to keep the home number as the hospital and doctor's have this number my dad already missed one hospital appointment. I'm seriously stressed and keep being put off by sky, first 24 hours then 48 hours then yesterday they said it could be another 24 - 72 hours. I no longer know what to do!!

When was their service activated? Is their phone plugged u to their broadband Hub? Do they have a black or white Hub?

Thursday last week and they have a white hub. They say the land line working now but not on the old number I had asked them to keep. My mum has onset dementia so I askedb to keep the old number to keep everything as normal as possible. But they wont give me the new number over the phone either !! I am beyond stressed!!

Oh and yes it's plugged into the router as they told us to do.

OK, so the service has been activated but unfortunately it looks like Sky were unable to keep their number - that's always a possibility, I'm afraid.
Sky can't tell ypu the number, as you're not the accountholder, but if your parents dial 17070 the recorded message will tell them.
