Moved house & number not transferred, line now disconnected (9th May) any was of getting it back?

Is there anyone out there in the multiverse that knows the answer to this? 😊.  I was with Sky and had to move house for health reasons. (17th March). With Sky i was not able to take the phone numher with me,, for this reason i went with Vorgin as they were the only provider who said they could do this.  2 momths down the line Virgin havent managed to do it, i received no calls, no updates despite me calling over 15 times and  emailing their compalimts department numerous times.
The line at the old house has since been cancelled (9th May).  , so i am presuming Virgin will definately not be ble to transfer it now.  Is there any way i can get my old number back? I am assuming it has not neen reused yet as only recenlty calcelled.   Thank you 😊

Not via Sky, I'm afraid. Once your line became inactive the number will have been returned by Sky to the pool of unused numbers from which they can't retrieve it. I doubt any other provider can either. There's a very remote possibility that BT can, so you might wish to ask them.
