Hi all,
just gone to use the landline, which is a rare thing but I have no dial tone. The phone tells me to check the phone line. Done the basics with plugs etc.... but nothing. Rang the number and it sounds as if to connect and rings as if connected but doesn't ring on the land line.
any ideas please
TIA

Have same problem with my landline since dinnertime yesterday and even bought new phone but still nothing, so now waiting for sky to do something as openreach have to get a call from them, there has been outage problems all over so may be that but sky not saying much, if not sorted soon as a vip customer for decades I expect something from them

Openreach normally aim to fix reported faults within 3-5 working days (so not tomorrow or Sunday) of being notified of them, but that could easily lengthen, for example; bad weather causing high demand or if they have to get permission to dig up roads.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and the Escalation Team may get in touch with you later or maybe tomorrow.
Look out for an email and also a blue/red speech bubble on the bottom left of your forum page. Once that speech bubble appears you only have 48 hours to join the private chat or it will close automatically. Again, if you fail to respond to each message from Sky within 48 hours the chat will automatically close. Replies on the chat aren’t instant so keep checking the chat thread regularly.
Please make sure that your email/private message notifications are switched to ‘on’ to avoid missing the alerts.

If you are using Safari also make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you have trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
