Landline number hasn't ported over

Hi, my mum switched to Sky Broadband/Talk last week (28th), broadband is working and phone is working, but with a new number. She had selected to transfer her current landline number to Sky, is it normal for there to be a delay in porting the old number across?

No, number porting isn't normally delayed. Sky do say they can't always port the number when they take over a line.

She managed to speak to somebody on the phone, who told her that it should have ported, they didn't know why it hadn't, but now there is nothing they can do any about it. Very disappointed in Sky for messing this up, a number of people still contact her by landline and it's going to be a lot of hassle for her.
