Landline number changed on transfer
I transferred from Vodaphone to Sky the start of November. When the transfer happened Sky changed my landline number, even though I checked the retain number. I contact Sky and was advised that the only way to rectify was to cancel and re-join, but I would lose service for at least a week. I did not accept this solution and asked for another method and was told they would have to make a request to Openreach to change the number over. I also made a complaint with Sky at this time . On a subsequent call (a few days later) I was informed the request had been made, would be actioned by the 6th December and I would have to wait until then. Yesterday (7th December) I recieved and email to say the case was closed, but nothing has changed. I called Sky again today (8th December) and was told there had been no request to Openreach and since it was past the 31 days there was nothing Sky could do. My only course was to contact Vodaphone. I've asked to escalate the complaint, through Sky but this will not get my nimber back.
Does anyone in the community have any idea how I can get my number back?

Re: Landline number changed on transfer
@ANoble I'm sure you'll get a suitably apologetic response from Sky to your complaint but regrettably, like you, I don't believe they'll be able to retrieve your old number now that the 31 days have expired.
