Landline not working

I upgraded to fibre broadband yesterday.

 But my landline is not working. It was all set up by the engineer who said it might need a few hours. It is now the next day but still not working, message says it is temporarily not working, help please

Just to check - is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub? What colour is the Voice light on the front panel of the Hub?
