I have Sky phone and Broadband. The phone line has stopped working. I can't dial out. If anyone calls me, they get the engaged tone. The Broadband also goes on and off.
It is difficult to contact Sky to explain the problem. Their info tells me to check the router which is not relevant if the phone line itself isn't working.

Thank you very much to both for your helpful and quick replies. We have managed to speak to Sky on the phone and an engineer is coming today, 10 September, to look at the problem.

The engineer came and resolved the problem. A new phone cable was installed to replace the old one.
