Landline not working for 2 weeks now.

I was unable to make or receive calls just before I went on holiday and now two weeks later it is still not working. It has a very faint dial tone and the phone itself is sayng check line. I have missed calls whilst I was away. Also the phone yesterday made a strange dialling tone and when I answered it I was in a call with two other people however they couldn't hear me! This has happened before and a sky engineer visited my house and changed the socket on the wall but now the same problem has reoccured. Could anyone help? Thank you.

You will need to report this to Sky, it is a free call if you dial just 150.

Welcome to the Community @Laura183 🙂

You may already know we're mainly customers here and it's unlikely that Sky will reply to your post.

First try the connection test here, even if your broadband service is working okhttps://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

Let us know how you get on.

If you wish we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report the fault via a private online chat as an alternative to calling.

@Laura183
I’ve escalated your post to Sky and the Messaging Team should contact you later.

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

This link explains what happens.
