Landline not making outgoing calls

My system was upgraded 4 days ago. Since then the broadband and internet are working okay. 
I can receive incoming calls on the landline but cannot make outgoing calls.

Does your broadband Hub have a standard telephone socket on the rear panel? If so, is your phone handset plugged into it?
