You already have access to Sky's landline service and a phone number - they're bundled with Sky Broadband.

Plug in a phone and check,for a dial tone. If there's a tone, dial 17070 and the recorded message should tell,you your phone number.

Re: Landline Access

Very helpful thanks.  Do you know will that trigger an additional monthly cost over and above calls?

No. Other than calls, there's no additional cost.

Beware that the cost of calls on Sky's default Pay as you Talk package is unpleasantly high. You might want to consider an inclusive call package with a monthly subscription if you're expecting to make more than occasional use of the phone service.

@Proops23

Roughly speaking, an hour of outbound calls in a month on the default PAYG tariff will cost more than an unlimited add-on ('Sky Talk Anytime Extra ')
