Issue with outgoing landline calls

Hi, Unable to make outgoing calls from landline, I have a dialling tone for outgoing calls,  when I dial the number it sounds like it is dailling but nothing happens. 

Phone is plugged into the hub. We have turned hub off / on etc but still the same. thanks

Was your phone/broadband service activated recently or have both worked OK previously?
