When we upgraded to Full Fibre last year, we weren't told (prior to the engineer visit) that it would affect our land-line..
When the engineer fitted the fibre, he asked where our telephone was.. I said in the kitchen. We also have an extension upstairs.
He said we'd need to plug a phone into the back of the router.. but didn't say that none of the extensions would now work.
It's really frustrating because the router isn't in a convenient place to keep the telephone, so we're effectively without a landline, and have no working extensions around the rest of the house..
Is there any way of getting working landline extensions again while having FTTP?

An alternative would be to investigate 'voice reinjection'. However, it's not a solution which Sky would support.

I might have to try the cordless DECT option.. though this house seems to be a black hole for wireless signals.. We have to have two additional wireless access points (connected to main router by ethernet) as the wifi doesn't travel through our walls very well at all.. I think we had DECT phones when we first moved in but their signal was really weak...
