Hi. I am contacting on behalf of my elderly 86 year old neighbour who's landline is not working. He gets voice messages to say phone disconnected. When I call from my house to his phone it rings out at my end but his phone does not ring. Its been like this for 3 days.
He is not computer minded at all and can barely use a basic mobile phone so I am trying to help him get his phone back up and running.
He also has a lifeline system I stalled.
Is there a phone number that I can give him so he can call you? I've looked on your website for a number but it just sends me round in circles.

If he already has a Sky Mobile call free by just dialling 150, otherwise he can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides an 0333 number. A lot of mobile networks include 01, 02 and 03 numbers in their inclusive minutes.
ROI: change the flag in the very bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides an 0818 number.
(The forum filters don’t like us typing the digits in full).
As with most large companies the start will be automated but he needs to stay on the line and not hang up if prompted to. The operating times of departments differs depending on the issue hes ringing about.

It may be worth him registering with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help him now or in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team

Just a quick question... my neighbour has broadband as well (still paying for it although he doesn't use it), is it possible his phone line has been switched to digital? 🤔 I don't think he has fibre to the house, just normal copper wire, not sure if this makes a difference?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Chrispt Sky are only switching customers to digital calls when they upgrade their broadband service or switch to Sky. They're not (yet) forcing it on existing broadband customers. It will happen eventually, though, to the customers of all service providers, Sky included, as Opemreach plan to switch off the analogue, service in 2025.
